But along the way, we stopped to play football in legendary La Boca, danced the tango with ASAP Ferg, and tried our hand at Pato tekkers - a sport perfected by Argentine cowboys.

   We traveled to Japan to play the world's oldest foot sport, tried some tekkers in the world's busiest intersection, and took on a Master of Kendo - the modern version of a samurai. That was all before we met up with superstar DJ Steve Aoki and made our own hilarious Japanese game show!

   Why is Brazil the greatest footballing nation on earth? We went to Rio de Janeiro to gather the clues; playing foot-volley on the beach and futsal with Falcao, getting chased out of a favela, and stringing together an epic bit of keepy-uppy through the narrow, hilly alleys of the city.

4. E4. We Went To World's Most Extreme Pitch

   Thailand may be new to the football scene but it’s been taking tekkers to the extreme for centuries. We joined the DJ duo Krewella for some football on the world's first floating pitch, jumped into a game of Sepak Takraw, the most acrobatic sport on earth, and tried our hands and feet at Muay Thai, the freestyle version of boxing.

   How did tiny Iceland - population 330,000 - become the smallest nation ever to make it to the World Cup? We headed to the land of fire and ice to work out with the world's fittest women, kicked around in ice caves, played football with Sigur Ros, and ate questionable “food” to find out what drives this Viking nation.

6. E6. Reversing Mexico's Curse

   We explored Mexico's World Cup Curse and their love affair with the supernatural in an effort to break the curse. On the way, we fought warriors in the ancient sport of Ulama and then joined music superstar Becky G in a Lucha Libre battle against the bad guys.
