In the sweltering humidity of a Tennessee summer, four inseparable friends—Leo, Mia, Jax, and Sam—are facing the end of an era. With high school graduation behind them and the pressure of "real life" looming, Leo convinces the group to finish their secret project: The Cricket, a vessel built from scrapyard parts and theoretical physics. What starts as a rebellious act of suburban escapism turns into a nightmare when a localized power surge tears a hole in the fabric of the cul-de-sac. The episode ends with the terrifying silence of a world that has grown up without them.
