   KO CHEUNG, who is famous in gambling, is not satisfied with his career development in Hong Kong, so he goes to explore his 'business' in Philippine with LUO YAT FEI and AU YEUNG FUNG. KEI KIU is dissatisfied with KO CHEUNG of not having a stable job. She often advises him not to spend too much time in the casino and even threatens him of going away. Finally, KO CHEUNG promises her to give up gambling after he has earned enough money in Philippine. He also claims that he will be back to Hong Kong when their youngest son reaches the age of nine months. KO CHEUNG cooperates with YAT FEI in gambling and they have earned a lot of money. They all feel very excited. In the night before they leave Philippine, YAT FEI brings KO CHEUNG to entertain in the nightclub. They break into quarrel with a gang of Philippines. YAT FEI kills one of them accidentally……

   KO CHEUNG often gets along with YAT FEI. He often mentions about their friendship and those 'venture' days in the past. This makes VAT FE! feel very dissatisfied. He instructs SUPREME to look after him aiming only to stop him fr6m speaking too much. SUPREME misunderstands that YAT FE! is dissatisfied with him of having too many part-time jobs and delegates KO to look over him. As a result, he is very cautious from KO. Later when he finds out KO of having no authority, he often fools him. Once KO CHEUNG intends to beat SUPREME for his disgusting behaviour, he sees his wife KE! KIU in the queue for buying flats. Just when he approaches the queue, there is a sudden confusion. Two of them are being separated. By observing that SUPREME and KEI KIU must have some relationship, KO CHEUNG carries out an investigation and finally discovers that KEI KIU is SUPREME's mother……

   KO CHEUNG meets KEI KIU by chance. She feels happy and' angry. She also claims to kill him. As KO CHEUNG has no chance to speak in defense of himself, he has to wait for the next chance. KO CHEUNG invites SUPREME to have a meal intending to identify himself. However, SUPREME meets KA LING. He is attracted by her beauty and pays all his attention to her. This creates no chance for KO to talk to him in detail. KA LING is a typical greedy woman. As intending to speculate in force and stock, she entices SUPREME aiming to get some advantages from him. SUPREME loses control as thinking that he can get her love very easily. ‧ Originally, KE! KIU feels hopeless about KO CHEUNG and intends to spend her rest life in grasping for money. But after KO CHEUNG appears, she feels very frustrated. HUNG SHUI YAN is an inborn bad luck symbol where her parents have already been dead……

   After several times of conversation, KO CHEUNG still fails to get the forgiveness of KEI KIU. She even warns him not to see their children as this will interrupt their normal life. Feeling very disappointed, KO CHEUNG decides to leave Hong Kong. Before he leaves Hong Kong, he asks their children to work hard but nobody seems to listen to him. Instead they scold their father in front of him and this makes KO feel very sad. KO CHEUNG says goodbye to KEI KIU and drops down an old family photograph carelessly. She observes this and believes that KO still loves their family. She feels so impressed that she allows him to see their children for one month but restricts him to disclose their relationship. Without alternative, KO accepts this arrangement. KO CHEUNG moves to live in KIU's house by-all means. He feels very jealous after seeing the intimate relationship of TIN CHEUNG and KIU's family……

   Once SHUI YAN is robbed. By that time, CHAK KOW just passes by and is being robbed also. CHAK KOW is often neglected by his family. He has a pure character and this strongly attracts SHUI YAN. One day, CHAK KOW meets KA LING and is attracted ~Y her beauty. As he obtains KA LING's information from her, SHU! YAN feels very disappointed to discover that CHAK KOW loves her cousin rather than her. CHAK KOW pursues KA LING bravely. When SUPREME knows that CHAK KOW competes with him in courting LING, he shows enmity towards KOW. In fact, KA LING has a bet with someone on CHAK KOW's love on her. After he realizes this, he feels very disappointed. Under the great blow, CHAK KOW becomes more self-abased……
