   A wealthy man hires a tutor for his daughter, and strange events happen in his household. He reveals to the tutor that he and the tutor's father had offended a tribal god while working in a mine and were saved by a tribal girl named Ai-Zhu. They left her to die after she got bitten by a snake while searching for a tribal treasure. Ai-Zhu put a blood curse on them before dying, causing the wealthy man's family to suffer losses. Before dying, the wealthy man asks the tutor to bring his daughter to find Ai-Zhu and break the curse, but Ai-Zhu would only agree to save one person.

Angry, he leaves home and meets the girl from his dreams, Wong Soh-ching, in Tai O. They fall in love, but Pui-chi cannot bear the loss of her husband and commits suicide. Unfortunately, this causes Chou's nightmares to come true.
