1. E1. Episode 1

   Emperor Wen of Sui orders the digging of the Canal to unclog the drain. Foreman Wang Shih-chung squeezes on food ration and persecutes the workers. Chang San-lang inflicts bodily punishment on him. Shih-chung seeks Peng Shan Old Man's help to fight against him and Chang beats him by a narrowmargin. Envoy Ta Chu in Ti Chi oppresses the people. Yang Yung and Li Tsing combine to punish him out of righteousness, and they are impressed by each other. Ti Chi invites the Sui family to send men to participate in a tournament. Yang Kuang strongly recommends Yang Yung to act as the envoy, claiming to give him a chance to obtain credit but actually harboring the malicious plot of having him removed. To return the favor of saving his life, Chang promises Mrs Hsuan Hua to take care of Chen Shu-ming, but Chen is ungrateful and keeps complaining about Chang's failure to help him reinstate the state .and accusing Mrs Husan Hua of cowardice……

2. E2. Episode 2

   Indignant over her recklessness, Chang teases Lan Ling, much to her mortification. On the other hand, Yang Yung and Li Tsing eventually win the first day's tournament by joint efforts. Shu-ming makes an unsuccessful attempt on the life of Ke Lan and is rescued by Chang, who offers to bring him back to Chung Yuan. Resenting his sincere intention, Shu-ming clashes with him. Lan Ling passing by, not knowing the truth, helps Shu-ming, enabling him to make good escape. Lan Ling becomes suspicious of Chang's identity and follows him, only to be teased by him again. Yang Kuang arranges to trap Yang Yung into a fatal accident during the tournament. Chang discovers it, overpowers Shu-ming attends the competition for Yang Yung, saving him from assassination by Kuang's man. Accusing Yang Yung of sending men to assassinate him, Ke Lan puts Yang Yung in custody……

3. E3. Episode 3

   Mar 11, 1987 · 45m

   Ke Pan discovers that Liu Chiang has turned against him and blames Liu for all mishap. Ke Pan releases Yang Yung back to mainland; Yang Yung and the Prince of Ti Chi reluctantly say good-bye to each other. Yang Yung goes back to the palace and gave a puppet to his wife; His wife reprimands him for wasting his mind on toys. Yang Yung becomes very unhappy; Yang Kuang seizes the opportunity and brings Yang Yung to a brothel; and then let Solitary Queen know, causing Solitary Queen to be more displeased with Yang Yung and reprimand Yang Yung. Solitary Queen proposes to Yang Gian that Yang Yung be dethroned. Yang Gian takes it lightly. Chin Yao-chin does not have money for dinner and creates trouble on the streets hoping that Chin Ghiung will arrest him so that he can live in prison. Chang San-lang gives Chin money. Li Siang-r passes by and thought Chin is robbing. During the fight, Chin is arrested……

4. E4. Episode 4

   Mar 12, 1987 · 46m

   Lan Ling interrogates Shu-wing hoping to find out Chang San-lang's identity; Shu-wing refuses to talk: Lan Ling goes to Chang's house and wants Chang to go to Thousand Leaves Heights to rescue Shu-wing. Yang Kuang appears while Chang San-lang is thinking and says he can help rescue Shu-ming. Chang San-lang does not trust Yang and does not consent. Chang San-lang goes to Thousand Leaves Heights by himself and argues with Lan Ling. Lan Ling asks her men to attack Chang, Chang, with hisexcellent kung-fu, rescues Shu-wing. Lan Ling admires Chang. Meanwhile, Chang ordered Taoist Sun to take Chang to the ore mine to treat his wounds. On their way to the ore mine, Sun and Shu-wing are followed by Lan Ling's men. Chin Chiung helps them escape from Lan Ling's followers, but they soon fall into the hands of Lan Ling's another follower, not knowingthat they are being followed……

5. E5. Episode 5

   Mar 13, 1987 · 46m

   Lan Ling sets up a trap in the cave, Chang San-lung gets poisoned and faints. Siang-r tries to save him. Lan Ling follows in, the two women meet and fight. The cave collapses, and the three think that they will die in the cave and show their true feelings. Later, no name Taoistsaves them. Lan Ling is jealous of Siang-r and goes away. Meanwhile, Shu-wing escapes amidst the commotion. Zi Zhou has a drought, Li Yan'begs Yang Gian to use donated food in the warehouse to ease the disaster. Yang Gian refuses. Yang Kuang induces Yang Yung to go to Zi Zhou, hoping to hold him responsible for theillegal sale of rice. At Zi Zhou, The Girl with the Red Duster helps the starving rob rice fromthe warehouse. Liu Chiung rushes to the warehouse and stopsthe commotion. Yang Yung and Li Tsing arrive at Zi Zhou. Liu Chiung stirs up the feelings of the people, and wants Yang Yung to give the donated food to the people……

6. E6. Episode 6

   Mar 16, 1987 · 46m

   Mrs Hsuan Hua and Lan Ling protect Yang Gian. Shu-ming runs back to Chang. Chang San-lang knows Lan Ling will come and ask Taoist Sun to lead Shu-wing away. Lan Ling and her men arrive at Chang's house to arrest Shu-ming and fight with Chang San-lang. Lan Ling is captured. Bo Li S holds Siang-r hostage and saves Lan Ling. Li Yan and other ministers beg Yang Gian to release Yang Yung. Yang Kuang tries to hinder but fails. He speaks ill of Li Tsing, hoping to rid Yang Yung's wise man. Yang Gian is tricked and sends his men to capture Li Tsing. Yu Wen Shu and his men want to kill Li Tsing. While escaping, Li Tsing runs into the Palace of Ye. In order to please Yang Yung, Yang Su let Li stay. Yang Kuang wants to search Ye's Palace, but is stopped by Su. Yang Kuang sends his men to surround Ye's Palace. Yang Yung and Li Yan plan to rescue Li Tsing. To avoid more danger, Li Tsing leaves Chang An……
