   The uprising hangs in the air. In the German army there is growing skepticism about the future fate of war and Warsaw. Rainer is mocking the current plans of the army command. Bronek and Władek become commanders of AK platoons. Together with Michał and Janek they receive a special task - they are to pick up a courier from London with very important information for the command of the uprising. The action of taking out Lena from the Pawiak went away. Janek first sees his son, Jasia. Fearful of the fate of the family, Janek asks Romek to take his sister out of town.

   E2. The W-hour

   A story about the fighting route of one branch. The last days of July 1944. Throughout Warsaw pull columns of German troops withdrawn from the eastern front. The city is growing. National Army officers debate the outbreak of the uprising. Janek, Bronek, Michał and Władek are assigned to a special company, which, during the uprising, is intended to be a cover for the Headquarters. Waiting for the announcement of the hours The commander of the company, Krawiec, orders Wladek to pick up a courier near Warsaw with instructions from the London government.

   The W-hour finds insurgents in various places in Warsaw. Wladek's platoon arrived at the place of the grouping, to the factory in Wola. Bronek detachment cut off by Germans breaks through the ruins of the ghetto. Bronek's soldiers lie in the field of destruction of the German rkm. Apaczk pulls out, claiming he can handle the Germans only with a knife. Karkowski reports to Rainer about the planned attack on the police district. On Ochota there is an attempt to lynch the folksdjczach Knapikach. Krawiec orders an assault on German magazines.

   Sadist general von Hackel arrives in Warsaw. Immediately proceeds to the pacification of the city. Wladek's platoon returns to the factory in Wola in the new panthers, provoking universal admiration. Young soldiers are excited, and soon they will be waiting for their first attack on the German positions in the school next door. Young insurgents are experiencing their first love. The platoon in which Janek and Bronek fight, supports the battalion "Zośka" in attack on the German tank. Slowinski appoints Michał a mission. Wanda and Apacz sister escort wounded insurgents.

   Rainer is devastated by the development of the city. Pabst informs him that the Dirlewanger and RONA (Russian People's Liberation Army) brigade arrive in Warsaw. At the insurgents' headquarters in the factory in Wola, soldiers are preparing to attack a German prison in Gesia, where Romek Sajkowski is being held. Wladek's platoon moves into action with the aid of the battalion Zośka and with two German tanks. Mickiewicz decides to confess love to Zosia. The Germans are pacifying Warsaw. Russian collaborators gain a hospital. Wanda tries to hide the injured Celina.

   Second week of uprising. After retiring from Wola, the Special Company "Oset" is stationed in a camp in the Old Town. Janek and Bronek discuss the code on the photographs of the engineer's portfolio. Stanisław, father of Tward from the battalion Zośka, finds Wanda in a hospital in Wolski. Residents of Helena's house are still being held by RONA soldiers. Lena likes one of them. In the hospital on Wola exhausted Celina meets a looter. Rainer organizes the management of the transition camp. He takes help to Woźniak. This is the first time she meets Emilia.
