When Shawn Hartley accidentally kills his great uncle with a drum solo, he doubles down on his lifelong dream to start a band. He meets two other guys with the same name as him (but with different spellings) and together the three of them create a band: The S[ha(w/u)/ea]ns. Through wacky shenanigans and family drama, Shawn, Sean, and Shaun take on the world- one song at a time.

Shawn, Sean, and Shaun are in a rough patch. Ever since their concert, there's been nothing but failure, heartbreak, and disappointment. As the guys try to mend their relationships with each other and others, they also try to navigate living as broke bandmates trying to make ends meet.
