The first episode is dedicated to the beginning of the earthly life of Elder Paisios – his birth in the village of Faros in Turkey, his baptism by the monastic Saint Arsenios the Cappadocian (1840–1924), his childhood & youth in the hills of Konitsa, and his service in the Army during the Civil War (1946-49).
