Natsuki Hayashi is a 26-year-old office worker who leaves home at 8:00 a.m. and returns home at 6:00 p.m. everyday. She is usually dressed in a suit, but when she comes home, it is her castle. She lives in a 2DK apartment complex, surrounded by the sundries she has collected since her school days. Her daily routine is to cook dinner while listening to music. All recipes are in her head. The events of the day, things that interest her, and nostalgic memories. Whatever pops into her head, she cooks it rhythmically. Muttering to herself, she lets the music take over and today, too, a new recipe is born.

E1. Easy Potato Gratin but not light

“I knew I should have waited until spring." Natsuki was depressed as soon as she got home. She pretended not to notice the disturbing skies and put on the leather shoes she had fallen in love with at first sight, but as expected, it rained. After wiping off the water and praying that it would not stain my shoes, I realized that I was also wet and cold. "On a day like this, I needed something hot to eat." Wearing a colorful apron, Natsuki heads for the kitchen. Today's dish is ...... gratin.

On her way home from playing with friends, Natsuki is approached by a strange man. Running back from the sudden “Nanpa(pick-up),” she looks up the word "Nanpa" in the dictionary. She then takes vegetables out of the "package from her mother" in the hallway and confronts him, placing them on the counter. At times like this she always does one thing to calm down. Today's dish is going to be ...... spring rolls.

Natsuki woke up early, because she had been busy working every day and went to bed immediately after coming home last night. Beautiful sunny Saturday morning, and she suddenly has a lot of time on her hands after doing the laundry piling up. On days like this, she want to do something a little different. The bookstore in front of the station has closed. It was my favorite store with good taste. After coming home, Natsuki is struck by a little loss. On a day like this, let's make something special. It would be nice to celebrate to say goodbye. I'm going to make a special omelette with lots of eggs.

Natsuki lives alone in an apartment complex. She is absorbed in playing video games and has been sleep‐starved. she thinks "A week ago, I was living a regular life" ,but she reaches for a nighttime meal to fill her stomach. She pull out the tomato sauce frozen feeling guilty. With this, let’s make stewed udon noodles, perfect for summer nights.

Natsuki attended the wedding of a high school friend. She was fond of saying "definitely" and said "I will definitely have a garden wedding. However the wedding was more relaxed than Natsuki had expected, and she came home anticlimactic. She paid a lot of congratulatory gifts and had a poor wallet. Today's supper is going to be a economical menu using bean sprouts. And the other star of the dish is....
