   The stadholder portraits have been removed from the Trêveszaal, resulting in a unique discovery: original sketches by designer and architect Daniël Marot have been discovered on the wall. New concrete has also been poured at the Ministry of Justice, and the facades have been renovated. During the work, it was discovered that 60 percent of the wooden beams are rotten. This means the renovation will take longer and be significantly more expensive. Former Labour Party leader Diederik Samsom and political reporter Ferry Mingelen reminisce with Splinter about their time at the Binnenhof.
