The Awakening Story

1. E1. Episode 1

   Sep 24, 2001 · 45m

   SHU, the wife of KI who is a key man in a listed company, Ming Kit Corporation, had fallen into a coma after a traffic accident sixteen years ago. Although KI has never given up SHU, he has been with LAM for a long time. KI’s mother, NAM, his son, CHAI and his youngest daughter, YAN all accept LAM. However, KI’s eldest daughter, KA believes that LAM has destroyed their family and regards LAM as their enemy. KA quarrels with a new doctor, HIM, due to the room changing issue for SHU. HIM is very firm. KA is mad. KI bought a diamond ring and propose to marry LAM after listening to NAM’s advice. KA finds that SHU has held her hand tight. She immediately informs everybody. As usual, the result is disappointed. YAN blames KA who is so anxious that she affects others. KA and LAM quarrel. LAM travels to Taiwan for both visiting her family and business.

   Sep 25, 2001 · 45m

   LAM’s close relative has passed away. She is heart-broken. KI decides to take care of LAM. KI intends to tell SHU his relationship with LAM. Unexpectedly, the hospital requests everybody including the patients to evacuate before the bomb expert to dismiss a bomb. KI accompanies SHU to witness the fireworks as a result bomb explosion. KI finds SHU who is holding his hand tight. All are excited with SHU’s reaction. KI dare not to face LAM and avoids her. LAM then proposes to transfer to Taiwan. The Chairman of the Ming Kit Corporation, KIT, advises KI not to hide. KA quarrels with YAN again, as she is too nervous. KI scolds KA who is too stubborn. HIM sees that KA is so nervous, he questions her real motive. HIM even points out that whether KA has well prepared for SHU’s awakening. KA agrees with HIM at heart. HIM’s parent, HUAN and PANG go to the hospital to check SHU’s progress secretly. SHU awakes……

3. E3. Episode 3

   SHU only recognizes KI and cannot recognize her children. However, with the help of doctors and nurses, SHU is in good progress. CHAI is shocked to see KA who is deleting YAN’s email. CHAI forgives her as she has sacrificed a lot for the sake of their family. KA is touched. KA and KIT’s son, SHUN are lovers. KA always neglects SHUN as she has spent too much time to take care of SHU. KA demands KI to give up LAM. KI refuses. SHU misses LAM so much that she loses her temper. LAM hurries to the hospital to sooth SHU. KA scolds LAM instead. KI’s good friend, LUN, heard that KI is preparing the divorce document, he greets KI. YAN quarrels with KA when she found out that KA has deleted her email in the hospital in front of SHU. SHU cannot stand them. The professional therapist, MING, scolds them. All are glad when they learnt that SHU can return home. However, SHU is very unease……

4. E4. Episode 4

   SHUN has done something wrong at work and was scolded by KI. KA invites SHUN for lunch to comfort him. KA receives a call from her family and is very anxious. SHUN is very upset. SHU is suffered from taxi-phobia and MING gives her a ride to her old house. PANG and HUAN follow SHU, the taxi driver play tricks on them. PANG hurt his neck. HIM brings PANG and HUAN to the hospital for body check. They meet KA. KA recognizes PANG who was the driver knocking SHU down. HIM then knew why PANG had disappeared for some time. SHU thinks of her ice-cold relation with KI when she saw KA and SHUN. SHUN proposes to marry KA. KA shuns the issue. They have a happy time together in Stanley. SHUN receives a mysterious call that does not want to let KA know. PANG drives again with a friend’s encouragement. However, PANG knocks SHUN down. KA insists to sue PANG.

5. E5. Episode 5

   KI is glad to share his success with SHU. They visit the old dating places. SHU is confident with the future. KI is under great pressure. KA insists to sue PANG. SHUN believes that KA is for the sake of taking revenge instead of caring abouthim. KA feels shameful when SHU spoke good words for PANG. SHU feels guilty when she recalled that she just wanted to leave home on the day of the car accident. KA and YAN again quarrel. SHU suggests KA to tempt YAN with a bun. All think of the past and are very touched. KA is very upset as SHUN proposes to break up with her and SHU does not treasure the new handkerchief she bought SHU, but she treasures the one LAM helped to get back instead. KA cannot control herself and tells SHU that KI and LAM have been in love for ten years. SHU is shocked.

6. E6. Episode 6

   Oct 1, 2001 · 45m

   SHU arranges to meet LAM and claims that she will get back what she deserves. LAM promises to consider her suggestion. KI is handling a court case and emphasizes that he must uphold righteous. LAM understands KI and takes the initiative to propose breaking up. KI promises to take care SHU wholeheartedly. However, he worries a lot for LAM and arranges LUN to go to Shanghai with LAM. When YAN and PETER are quarrelling for a break up, YAN crashes towards MING’s nephew, LOK. LOK makes YAN drop her contact lens. LOK and YAN scold each other. LOK picks YAN’s telephone string. He finds it very lovely and keeps it. KA blames HIM’s ex-girlfriend, YING, who has competed with her for SHUN. She even scolds her and claims that she just aimed at marrying to a rich family. Although HIM knew that YING is fond of playing around, he still protects her. KA wants to reunite with SHUN but is in vain. She is very upset. HIM comforts her……
