   The Chief, KAR WAI YAN, and TSUI WONG TSOI band together to deceive the villagers of Tze Hui and control the political and economical aspects of the village. The ignorant villagers are always arranged by them but still respect them very much. YAN takes the excuse of' discussing with TSUI the method of squeezing money from the villagers to get happiness in Ngai Heung Yuen. However, his wife, Tai Da discovers that and goes to seize him. In order to toady YAN, SHEK KIN urges to inform VAN. VAN deceives his wife with TSOI. The followers of TSOI transports the goods back to Tze Hui. However, on the way, they are robbed by the SINGLE EVE LUNG. LUNG even declares that he will go to get the protection fee from TSUI three days later. This makes TSOI very angry. TSUI lets his son, VAU FU, manage the gambling-house. However, FU is too timid to get back the debt from the gamblers.… ...

   LUNG leads his followers to rob TSOI on his birthday and catch TSOI and SIU MAN. By that time, PAK SIU NA takes the bean curd there and is thus caught by the robbers. LUNG threatens TSOI for a large sum of money in order to save his life and SIU MAN. TSOI is very afraid and promises to do so. Returning to Tze Hui, TSOI deceives the Villagers that if they do not give the money to the robbers, the robbers will destruct the whole village. The villagers really believe him and take their money out. TSOI and VAN even can keep part of the money for their own use. The robbers love NA's beauty very much and want to rape her. NA struggles severely and makes them fainted. The robbers, however, declare that they have succeeded in raping NA. Tsar sends the money to the hill fortress to get back SIU MAN and SIU NA. However, the mother of NA believes that NA is really raped by the robbers and tries every means to let NA marry with someone else.… ...

   HO TAL OAI has worked in FA KI for a long time. He returns to the Village of Tze Hui with his son, SHEUNG KA and his adopted son, SHEUNG HEUNG SAL. OAI has no definite residence and lives temporarily in Ngai Heung Yuen. He is welcomed warmly by brothel-keeper, LO YIM FONG. KA and SAL are very handsome. In addition, they have brought back lots of western materials and thus win the hearts of the prostitutes. SAL meets NA on the street. They argue with one another because of some misunderstanding. However, they are both too strong to give way for one another. SAL and KA get the 'lucky cannon' in the meeting of 'Tai Ping Ching Chiu and become the focus in the village. However, since TSOI has long been the winner of this cannon, so he asks KIN to buy the cannon from them at a high price. Yet, SAL and KA are not moved by that and this makes TSOI very angry. SAL MUI is an orphan and is brought up by FONG.… ...

   OAI goes to find TSOI and asks him to explain for the past. However, TSOI refuses everything and they thus argue with one another. OAI still loves KWAN and tries every means to get near her and even persuades her to divorce with TSOI. However, KWAN is controlled by the tradition. She has to cut the relation with OAI unwillingly and even keep away from him.

5. E5. Episode 5

   KA loves NA and wants to get near her. However, this still cannot touch her heart. Later, he is taught by DAI LONG and wins the friendship with NA after toadying her for a long time. DAI still finds KWAN all the time. SIU MAN discovers that and tells TSOI. She even takes the chance to stir up the trouble making TSOI very angry. KIN loves NA's beauty very much. He even asks LONG to help him to rape NA. Luckily, this is discovered by SAI. Na can thus keep herself unspotted. LONG is very self-reproached.

Seeing that SAI is very eager to help NA, Mother PAK thinks that SAI loves NA. So she tries to bring them together. However, since SAI and NA have lots of conflicts in the past, they refuse. After TSOI has lost the land; he is very angry and. determines to destroy DAI's plan of building the house. He sends his followers to kill the live stocks of the village secretly and put purgative into the well, creating much trouble to the village. He even declares that DAI's plan has destroyed the 'fung shui' of the village, forcing DAI to stop his plan. KA and SAI find the case special and continue to investigate the case. They discover that this is related to TSOI. However, TSOI admits all the fault finally. SAI is still angry with TSOI.… ...
