   Villager KEI KIT sues the local tyrant LI YAU-FOOK for forcing his daughter-in-law SUEN CHOR-CHOR to marry him. The attorney POON KING-CHUEN, also regarded as the Absurd King, tries to support YAU-FOOK with ridiculous reasons and the magistrate KAU CHING-KO finally approves the marriage. CHOR-CHOR is forced to enter the bridal sedan chair. CHEUNG SEI-WAI, teacher of the Confucius Academy, tries to rescue CHOR-CHOR but he is beaten up by others. Luckily, head detective HA HAU-MO arrives to settle the case. SO CHUN and his wife CHOW LAN from the Good Harvest Temple are touring around with Lady Good Harvest's statue. All villagers welcome them cheerfully. SEI-WAI sighs that everyone is so superstitious and nobody worships the sage Confucius. During the wedding ceremony of CHOR-CHOR and YAU-FOOK, YAU-FOOK suddenly dies and CHOR-CHOR becomes a widow.… ...

   WAI-CHUN rescues SEI-WAI. She regards herself as SEI-WAI's savior and she stays in his place. CHOW KUK arrives at the school to attend lessons in the morning. WAI-CHUN says that she is SEI-WAI's relative and she is helping him to teach voluntarily. WAI-CHUN discovers a recruitment notice for workers outside Good Harvest Temple and she applies for the job. CHOW LAN rejects her and they end up in discord. HA HAU-MO discovers that an auction of CHAN MUNG-KAT’s belongings is going on at the Antique Shop. However, they need to wait for the shop owner CHIN to return for he is the only one who knows the origin of the belongings. Butler YIM reveals that KING-CHUEN wants to purchase the whole collection of CHAN MUNG-KAT’s belongings. He wants to know the origin of the works before buying the things but his request is being rejected. The shop owner is beaten up. HA HAU-MO rescues him and he gets to know MUNG-KAT’s servant TSUI ON.… ...

   WAI-CHUN admits that she was pretending to be MUNG-KAT's daughter and she threatens SEI-WAI to keep the secret for her. CHOW LAN comments that WAI-CHUN has a silver tongue and it is a pity that she cannot fight with others in the court for she is a woman. She suggests WAI-CHUN to rent a place at Good Harvest Temple to write Charge Sheets for others. KING-CHUEN is upset that the bad smell of toilet wastes is disturbing his mood to write poetry and he scolds the toilet wastes collector Madam BAO HEUNG. BAO HEUNG discovers that a man in black is giving her money. She follows him and helps him to kick away an attacker while returning the money to him. SEI-WAI discovers that CHOR-CHOR wants to disfigure her face and he stops her. CHOR-CHOR reveals that YIN-HAU is trying to harass her sexually. WAI-CHUN suggests writing a Charge Sheet for CHOR-CHOR to sue YIN-HAU. CHOR-CHOR doesn't have any money and she wants to be a nun.… ...

   WAI-CHUN writes a Charge Sheet with SEI-WAI's blood. When she delivers it to the Yamen, she meets KING-CHUEN. KING-CHUEN says that he will be there for the case and they make a bet with each other. WAI-CHUN learns that KING-CHUEN is very tactful. She worries that she will lose and she tries to run away at night but CHOW KUK stops her. During the hearing, YIN-HAU says that SEI-WAI and CHOR-CHOR are committing adultery and SEI-WAI collapses. WAI-CHUN claims that she is SEI-WAI's assistant and she speaks for him tactfully. CHING-KO is convinced by her and YIN-HAU loses the case. KING-CHUEN is not able to attend the hearing because of WAI-CHUN's trick. However, he is not angry at all and he appreciates WAI-CHUN very much. CHOR-CHOR is free and SO CHUN suggests her to stay in Good Havest Temple. However, CHOR-CHOR wants to earn a living and she decides to open a bean curd shop. YEE-MING is the man in black who gives money to the poor.… ...

5. E5. Episode 5

   HA HAU-MO reminds BAO HEUNG to be aware of the person in black but BAO HEUNG says that the person in black is nice person. When CHOW KUK and CHOR-CHOR go out, it rains suddenly. CHOW KUK wants to give an umbrella to the scholar FAN KANG who looked at her but she mistakenly recognizes DOR-WAH as FAN KANG. CHOW KUK accidentally falls into a puddle and FAN KANG offers help to her. FAN KANG is preparing for the examinations and he wants to find a quiet place to study. CHOW KUK brings him to SEI-WAI's school. WAI-CHUN believes that SEI-WAI is not able to earn a living and she suggests him to write Charge Sheet for others. KING-CHUEN suggests to make a bet with WAI-CHUN again by randomly selecting a case at the court but WAI-CHUN rejects him. HA HAU-MO tries to find out more information from the witness but the only witness is a blind musician KUK FUNG. SEI-WAI introduces FAN KANG to HA HAU-MO.… ...

6. E6. Episode 6

   CHOW KUK helps HA HAU-MO to investigate the case and FAN KANG joins her as well. YEE-MING visits CHOR-CHOR's bean curd shop and he wants to buy all the bean curd there. SO CHUN asks his wife to test if YEE-MING has difficulty in hearing things. WAI-CHUN accepts KING-CHUEN's challenge eventually. She requests to have KING-CHUEN's house as well as his chef if she wins. KING-CHUEN requests her to marry him if he wins. WAI-CHUN chooses to speak for LAW YAU-LOI. FAN KANG discloses to everybody that YEE-MING is deaf. This ruins WAI-CHUN's plan and FAN KANG decides to move out. CHOW KUK suggests him to stay in an old temple temporarily. FAN KANG knows that CHOW KUK is fond of him and they stay in the temple together for the night. WAI-CHUN hopes that SEI-WAI will speak for YAU-LOI at the court but SEI-WAI rejects her. During the hearing, KING-CHUEN claims that YEE-MING is ill and his foster son will replace YEE-MING.… ...
