   In the windy desert, troops of the Sung Dynasty are escorting the birthday present from different places to the royal palace. Although they are highly alerted, they do not know that they have been followed by NAM - the daughter of the master of Evil Sect. Most soldiers are killed except one official who goes to seek help from BAO CHING. CHING knows that only GIN CHIU can compete with NAM, so he asks for CHIU's helping hand. However CHIU refuses. CHING and the officer continue their way and they are lurked by NAM again. When CHING is on the brink of death, CHIU appears and saves him.

2. E2. Episode 2

   CHIU knows that CHING is a incorruptible official and thus he promises to join CHING's trip. NAM is scolded for her vain attempt in getting the birthday present. As the birthday present ties closely to the well-being of Evil Sect, NAM determines to get it again. On the other hand "Fury Mouse" PAK YUK TONG is also keeping an eye on CHING as he wants to get the birthday present so as to show his discontent with the royal family. At night, a secret masked man goes to Evil Sect and orders the master of Evil Sect and NAM to finish the project as soon as possible.

3. E3. Episode 3

   The masked man is KWOK WAI - an eunuch. WAI lusts for the throne and the success of his plan is highly relied on the birthday present. TONG stops CHING and he has a duel with CHIU. TONG at last is defeated and they mutually appreciate each others' talent. CHING is able to arrive at the outskirts of the capital. WAI tries to make him stay. At night WAI goes to steal the birthday present and he is driven away by CHIU. The emperor knows that CHIU is a competent fighter and appoints him as the "Royal Cat" so as to help him fight WAI.

4. E4. Episode 4

   TONG is angry as CHIU is regarded as the "Royal Cat" and he knows that they will have a deadly duel soon. CHIU is hated by WAI as CHIU punishes WAI's subordinates in the capital. WAI forces the master of Evil Sect to attack CHING and CHIU. NAM is responsible for the job but she fails again. She is forced by the master to swallow a poisonous centipede. NAM uses tricks to stay in CHING's house and CHIU treats her good without any suspect. NAM feels guilty but for her own life, she tricks CHIU to Evil Sect. There CHIU defeats all the people and when he wants to kill the master, he is stopped by NAM. When he knows than NAM has tricked him, he is depressed.

5. E5. Episode 5

   Jul 13, 1994 · 48m

   CHIU wins fame after he defeats the members of Evil Sect. TONG is jealous. Therefore he steals the chop of a senior official, WAI accuses CHIU in front of the emperor and CHIU is instructed to get in back within a month. CHIU has a duel with TONG. TONG is reminded by his lover FAN TI and defeats CHIU. CHIU is impressed by TI. TONG also returns the chop. WAI knows TONG's talent and wants to employ him but TONG ignores him. WAI is angry and steals the birthday present, blaming TONG as the thief. TONG is chased after by the government officials.

6. E6. Episode 6

   Jul 14, 1994 · 47m

   WAI takes the birthday present and from it, he learns martial arts from a "Sacred Scroll". Meanwhile, TONG's adopted elder brothers FONG and CHEUNG use TONG's name and commit robbery. CHIU goes to arrest TONG. In chaos, common people is killed. Under pressure, CHING blames CHIU and CHIU determines to catch FONG and CHEUNG. In the market place, CHIU meets NAM and he counsels her. On the other hand, FONG and CHEUNG take refuge in the royal temple. There they kill monks in the name of CHIU so as to get CHIU involved. CHING wants to arrest CHIU. CHIU is discontented and resigns.
